{"id":124091,"date":"2015-03-11T11:55:00","date_gmt":"2015-03-11T16:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ntegrait.com\/attention-apple-users-exciting-new-features-coming-to-microsofts-office-2016-for-mac-download-the-preview-for-free\/"},"modified":"2015-03-11T11:55:00","modified_gmt":"2015-03-11T16:55:00","slug":"attention-apple-users-exciting-new-features-coming-to-microsofts-office-2016-for-mac-download-the-preview-for-free","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ntegrait.com\/attention-apple-users-exciting-new-features-coming-to-microsofts-office-2016-for-mac-download-the-preview-for-free\/","title":{"rendered":"Attention Apple Users: Exciting New Features Coming to Microsoft\u2019s Office 2016 for Mac \u2013 Download the Preview for FREE!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center\">For quite some time, PC users have enjoyed various great features and functionalities in Microsoft&rsquo;s Office 365 that you haven&rsquo;t been able to take advantage of, however, that&rsquo;s about to change as new features and functionalities, including Mac-only features, will be released for Apple users!<\/h1>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8260\" src=\"http:\/\/blogfeed.ulistic-projects.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Office-for-the-Mac.jpg\" alt=\"Office for the Mac\" width=\"507\" height=\"338\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Kirk Koenigsbauer, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft&rsquo;s Office 365 Client Apps and Services Team, discussed the updated apps in a blog post, &ldquo;the new apps offer full retina display support with thousands of retina-optimized graphics, full screen view for native immersive experiences, and even little Mac affordances like scroll bounce.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Exciting New Features Can You Expect to See? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When Office 2016 for Mac comes out, you can expect updates and a much more modernized user experience with the following applications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Word: <\/strong>The updated design tab allows you to co-author documents, manage layout colors and fonts, and take advantage of threaded comments to collaborate with colleagues when you&rsquo;re editing documents.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excel:<\/strong> Improvements can be found in graphs and charts, keyboard shortcuts, and data entry features; and many of the keyboard shortcuts used in Excel 2013 for Windows will work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>PowerPoint: <\/strong>A new presenter view (click slide show, then click presenter view) allows you to view your notes on one monitor while viewing the slide on another; which means you can see your notes while presenting your slides on a big screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Outlook:<\/strong> Many new features have been added &ndash; from push mail support to improved conversation view with threading to a much more advanced preview capability, which allows you to check out previews of emails before opening.<\/li>\n<li><strong>OneNote:<\/strong> As this app has always been regularly updated, and it&rsquo;s free on the app store, there are not a lot of updates this time around; however, the user interface has been updated to be more modern.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested in checking out the Office 2016 preview?
